Biography
Conductor Yuichi FUKUI.
He is highly trusted as a conductor for studio recordings, operas, ballets, and musicals.
He has conducted major orchestras across Europe, including the Russian State St. Petersburg Academy Symphony Orchestra and the Slovak Chamber Orchestra. He has conducted numerous operas at opera houses in Europe, including the Mancinelli Opera House and the Burgas National Opera House.
From 2007, he served as opera music director and conductor for the Fukuoka Prefecture Shingu Cultural Promotion Foundation for three years. He contributed to the popularization of opera through performances in which local residents participated.
3rd place at the 1st Hungarian Danube International Conducting Competition in 2007.
Born in Miyazaki Prefecture in 1969. After studying horn and conducting at Showa College of Music, he moved to Europe. He studied as a conductor at the Vienna Symphony Orchestra under V. Fedoseev, F. Luigi, G. Marc and others. In 2005, he completed the master class conducting course at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. He studied conducting under J. Panula, L.Hager, M. Dittrich, M. Stringer, and Kazue Kamiya, and the horn with Kozo Moriyama, Shiro Miyata, and Tetsuo Higuchi. Member of the Japan Concert Federation.

バロックから現代までの幅広いレパートリーと語学への深い造詣により、オペラ、バレエ、ミュージカルの指揮者として厚い信頼を得ている。近年は。現代劇の劇伴奏音楽のスタジオレコーディングにも積極的に多数参加している。
ハンガリードナウ交響楽団主催による第1回ドナウ国際指揮者コンクール第3位。
ロシア国立サンクトペテルブルグアカデミー交響楽団をはじめ、BMドナウ交響楽団、スロヴァキア室内管弦楽団など、欧州各地の主要オーケストラを指揮。マンチネッリ歌劇場(イタリア)、ブルガス国立歌劇場(ブルガリア)など欧州の歌劇場で「カルメン」「フィガロの結婚」「カヴァレリアルスティカーナ」など数々のオペラを指揮。
2007年より3年間(財)新宮町文化振興財団オペラ音楽監督・指揮者を務める。 地域住民参加型公演を通じてオペラの普及に貢献。2014年宮崎市市制90周年記念事業「みやざき第九」の指揮者を務める。
また、横浜しのはらジュニアオーケストラの指揮者として小さな音楽家の育成に力を注ぐ傍ら、市民オーケストラとの共演も数多く行っている。
1969年宮崎県出身。昭和音楽大学にてホルンと指揮を学び卒業。2004年単身渡欧。ウィーンに居を構え、V.フェドセーエフ、F.ルイジ、G.マルク等のもとウィーン交響楽団にて指揮者としての研鑽を積む。2005年ウィーン国立音楽大学マスタークラス指揮科修了。指揮をJ.パヌラ、L.ハーガー、M.ディットリッヒ、M.ストリンガー、紙谷一衛の各氏に、ホルンを守山光三、宮田四郎、樋口哲生の各氏に師事。
